Mr Waterworth

Dear Parents,

Welcome back!  Where did the last week go? I'm feeling refreshed and ready to enjoy this next busy half term.  I hope you've all had time to relax with your wonderful children this week.

Celbrating the Mass: This topic is designed to develop the children's knowledge and understanding of the Mass.  The children will reflect on the importance of Sunday as a day of rest and the varied reasons why Catholics got to Mass.  They will learn about different parts of the Mass and the meanfin and significance of each part of broadening and reinforcing their faith.

During English we will be writing a letter as a boy who visited the stone age before moving onto writing our very own flashback. Both pieces of writing will be based around the book Stone Age Boy.

Very soon we will be heading off to Rome to learn about what the Roman's did for us.  Please look out for a letter soon detailing our visit to Chester.

We continue our learning on money before moving onto statistics, length and fractions. The children must keep learning their tables at home! Keep working on Times Tables Rockstars - the scores are improving fast!

Homework will continue to come home on Friday's and it will be due in the following Wednesday.  The children will have their spellings as usual to learn over the week and then tested on Friday.

We'll be adding our new books to our library this week.  The children are really looking forward to seeing so many new books.  Please keep reading with your children even though they sometimes want to read on their own.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mr Chris Waterworth
