Class 12 Year 3 2019 - 2020

Mrs Bevington

Class 12

Welcome back!  Christmas seems a dim and distant memory now and I am looking forward to Spring, my favourite time of year. This half term will be as busy as ever with the children now settled in KS2 and accessing all the new objectives.

During English we will be continuing our learning around Narnia and writing our own version of the time when Lucy enters Narnia and meets Mr Tumnus.  We will also be creating our own fantasy creature and writing a short report about them.

In RE we are learning about the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We look at the Great Commandment and how we sometimes make the wrong choices.  We will focus on the story of Zacchaeus and learn from his example.  We will also read the story of The Lost Sheep and learn that God always loves us no matter what we have done.

In Maths we continue our learning of multiplication and division strategies before moving on to working with Money.  The children must keep learning their tables at home!   Keep working on Times Tables Rockstars - the scores are improving!

Homework will continue to come home on Mondays and it will be due in the following Friday or Monday.  The children will have their spellings to learn as usual over the week and these will be tested on Friday.

Please keep reading with your children even though they sometimes want to read on their own.

If you haven’t yet joined our class DoJo, please do. It is a wonderful way for you to be part of what is going on in the classroom.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs M. Bevington
