Stockley Farm

STOCKLEY FARM TRIP – YEAR 1 On Tuesday 18th October, Year 1 enjoyed a visit to Stockley Farm. Stockley Farm is an organic working dairy farm in Cheshire.

We found out about horses and were even able to groom one. We measured ourselves in hands and looked at different sized horse shoes. Smokey was a very friendly horse and we loved stroking her. Here, the children learned about a range of farm animals, their body parts, their diets and their characteristics.

We held, fed and stroked a whole range of farm animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, pigs, goats, horses and sheep.

We enjoyed a tractor ride across the fields and even managed to have a picnic lunch and some time on the play area in the autumn sun. What a GREAT DAY!
